Clarifying “Unbranded” and “Generic” Beef Marketing
When referring to beef and beef marketing, the terms “unbranded” and “generic” simply mean that the promotion does not reference or favour any specific country of origin, company, or brand. This type of marketing is not tied to Canadian beef and does not carry the Canadian Beef brand mark. Instead, it speaks broadly to all beef consumed in the domestic market, regardless of where that beef was produced.
